Love Nepal
Love is the most written about, most sung about and, ironically, the most fought over commodity in the world .
Love is the most written about, most sung about and, ironically, the most fought over commodity in the world . Whereas human love is self-centred and grasping, God’s love gives. It never stops (1 Corinthians 13:8). Human love boasts conquest, but God’s love practices service. Godly love stresses the good of the “other”, commands to “love one another”, “bear one another”, “forgive one another”, “edify one another” transcending all religion and community.

It is important that God’s love is manifested in action, rendering it visible to people who are searching. If we want to make a difference for good, against a background of despair, we need to be motivated by the love of Christ. God’s care in community will say more about the relevance of the Gospel in today’s world than all our rhetoric.

The Nepalis form one of the largest and most widespread diasporic communities in India numbering about 5 million and found in almost every part of India .
Their large-scale immigration dates back to the British colonial needs for brave soldiers, agriculturists, plantation workers, construction workers and so on, as much as the lack of opportunities for employment in Nepal. This is all known , however what is not known is what the diasporic Nepalis as individuals with identity, emotions and aspirations encounter and experience daily in India. While most of the educated Nepali and those with high economic status migrate to Europe and America, many rural poor, illiterate and unskilled Nepali youths travel to India and Malaysia and the Middle East for work and settled for generations now . Some challenges the Nepali community faces in India are identity crises, discrimination, absence of acceptance, lack of recognition of their contribution in the nation’s building , rights-less because of non- citizens , lack of support from the local organization, occupational risks to Nepali migrant workers’ health to the issue of human trafficking.

Inspired by the love of Jesus Christ, God put a burden in the heart of the LifeGate Church to reach out to the Nepali community in Delhi. The Love Nepal fellowship is taken care by Pastor Sandeep Shrestha and his wife Pastor Pranju Tamang
