Jesus Himself modelled retreating when he’d leave the crowds to be by himself to spend time in prayer and with His Father.

Retreat are important to remove ourselves from the familiarity of our usual patterns or surroundings, to set aside time to get away with God, it is a definite time spent away from one’s normal life for the purpose of reconnecting with God. Retreat offers more undistracted time to hear God’s Still Small Voice. The LifeGate Church organizes annual retreats in various hills stations every year.
