Campus Youth Missions
Why Youth?
There is a general feeling today that in the present social set-up, the youth are deprived of the opportunities of growth and development and also participation in the affairs of the family, state and society. Therefore, the youth are disappointed, disillusioned and restless, which is one of the reasons why they indulge in violent and destructive activities, also falling into various kinds of addictions, depression and suicidal tendencies.
They are also faced with the feeling of loneliness, depression and anxiety due to social, peer and parental pressures, besides so many challenging philosophies, values and ideals to choose from . Low on resilience, sadly when failure unsettles them, many youths mistakenly think suicide as the easiest escape route.
However it is also universally recognised that the youth in general have great energy, stamina, a strong will and zest for life and growth. The potentialities of the Youth if honed and mentored well in the right direction can be a great tool for social transformation and development of society and any nation.

The Campus Youth Missions Ministry also known as the CYM , the members who loves to call themselves as CYMers , started in 2007 for the Universities and School going youth which also includes the drop outs, to instil a sense of worth, growth mindset and identifying purpose in their lives regardless of caste , race , sex, or religion in order to empower them to live a life of purpose and influence through an act of good and selfless cause for the community, and wholistic self-development inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ.
We do this through authentic youth engagement by building on young people’s unique strengths, addressing barriers to participation and creating opportunities for youth to develop their skills , help youth to succeed and prevent them from falling into overwhelming hopelessness, depression or frustration.
We have had the privilege and the opportunity to influence and build the lives of so many youth over the past few years.
Today, we still focus on youth and we also include people of all ages.
